I hope you, your family and all of your loved ones are safe and well in these very difficult times. As we enter another few weeks of lockdown, 2020 will be a year that will remain in our memories for a long time to come. I know we are all missing jumping in our caravans or motorhomes and driving off to all those far flung places that we all enjoy, such as a CL, a Holiday Site or Rally or even that special overseas holiday that you had planned.
We hope that everyone is coping with the isolation that we are now enduring. Typical British weather, now we are confined due to the lockdown, the sun starts to shine following the rains of the early part of the year. We were wondering how many of you (like us) have cleaned and polished your caravans or motorhomes ready for the summer then sat in them on the drive with a drink dreaming of exotic locations?
The Club's events such as the Irish, Scottish and English Nationals were cancelled because of COVID-19 this was such a disappointment as we look forward to them every year. In our region We have had local major events such as the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, the RNAS air show at Yeovilton and their associated rallies cancelled. The Bath and West Show has been moved to August and our local centres have cancelled all their rallies and anniversary events up to at least the end of June. Please check with your local centre's website for their latest information.
I'm sure we will do all of these things again, hopefully in the near future, but we can only do this if we all play our part, stay at home and play by the rules. Please stay in touch with others, share memories and help each other get through this difficult time together.
